I am devoting time to legislative business, campaigning, book writing and promotion and work around our place.  The days are full.  I am heartened by the reception I'm receiving when I'm out and about.  I recently attended the Litchfield and Dassel City Council meetings and spoke to them.  I will continue to meet with councils around the District.

I have spoken recently with Rep. Marquardt about our redesign plans.  He has asked me to work with education after the election.  I welcome your comments and thoughts about redesign in education and other areas.

I will continue to stress these items:  redesign of government, smaller government, economic freedom and individual liberty. .

The parade season has ended.  The Dassel Red Rooster Day parade and subsequent chicken barbecue have put a cap on it.  Of course I'm campaigning at full speed but legislative work remains a major part of the day.  For example on Friday I worked through the morning to help a crop adjuster get a license that was hung up in red tape.  Now that we are past Labor Day there will be more campaign activity but constituent assistance will continue to be my top concern.

Until next time,
Dean
